Tallinna Emppu offers pedagogical childcare for children aged 2-5, as well as morning and afternoon care for schoolchildren in the premises of the Finnish School of Tallinn starting from January 2027.
Pedagogical childcare is implemented in a way that is close to Finnish daycare activity. The activities involve learning through play, physical activity, music, and diverse activities. The practice is goal-oriented and takes place on the children’s terms. The activities are managed by trained staff. Emppu is part of the school community.
At Emppu, a child’s day is built around familiar everyday situations:
– Playing and being together
– Outdoor activities and exercise
– Meals and moments of calm
– Small insights and experiences of success
The daily opening hours on weekdays are 7:30 AM–5:00 PM.

Open interaction, daily encounters, and discussions create trust and support the child’s growth. Guardians’ views are listened to and valued.
At Empu, childcare is a shared matter with guardians.
Operations will start on January 2027.
